Best of Web 9

"We Are Made of Star Stuff" Carl Sagan
"Everything in life is vibration" Albert Einstein

Here's a good compilation of Humanity!
Evolution! We are going global.
Our dimensional spectrum is about to update to a new level of intelligence/knowledge.
How do we commune with science, art and Mother Earth (Biology).
In a macroscopic approach culture is in our DNA. But in a microscopic sense we are a living Cosmos. Energy (Physics) and Matter (Chemistry). Spiritual dimensional frequencies (Geometry) bond together in Pachamama Consciousness (Philosophy).
When we get to this level of expertise, mind control, stunts, maneuvers, intellect and willingness (Mathematics) why do we have to keep killing each other? Is there not enough space to live peacefully?!
"First we build the tools, then the tools build us" Marshall Mcluhan
Future's a mystery therefore I long for the faith in Humanity.

WestWorld

WestWorld is THE fictional TV Serie.
My mind was blown away by it. I wonder deeply about what's coming next.

"Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before" by Edgar Allan Poe
Westworld is a personal voyage in to the cosmic human mind.
It goes beyond everything I have ever watched on screen sci-fi storytelling related hence giving me a rest or a struggle (!?) to my own mind every time each episode’s finished!
The vigorous message throughout this ten episodes is that it plays with your mind. Mostly because there are four dimensions, in a world we have never seen before. Our world. Or the world we have imagined of.
What’s the reality in this story? Humans? Androids? Hosts? Newcomers?
Well, the reality in this story is consciousness! Memory, wit, technology and men craft to build such a TV series.
Relating it to Black Mirror is a faithful coincidence. Once reference to AI and Game is all over the place. Technology did it. Humans did it. We evolve, unmeasurably!
Dreams? What’s the concept of dreams?

One month before I started watching Westworld I wrote about my experience in having Black Mirror for supper. As you can see on the post at this blog about BM, I wrote: “Black Mirror makes you wonder. Wonder more”. When you wonder more, there’s Westworld.
According to history and science, in the early 16th century Amerigo Vespucci named the New World what would later be called the Americas in the age of discovery. Before that classical geographers thought of the world as Africa, Europe and Asia [Afro-Eurasia].
That world is nowadays known as the Westworld.
If we were to talk about an endless twist from the pilot The Original until the season finale The Bicameral Mind, we would have a rather nice journey through hippocampus where short term memory is located. But twists are just a detail in scriptwriting art.
Westworld goes far beyond that. Frequently dares the viewer with the philosophical question: Meaning of life.
What others referred to Samsara, where cycle of aimless drifting, wandering or mundane existence were applied to human life. It also refers to the theory of rebirth and "cyclicality of all life, matter, existence". The continuous flow. Reincarnation. The new life.
Hosts or human like androids sense the feeling of being in some place sometime before, but they can not be quite sure, because memories are a trap. There’s also references to next life and past life, in a spacetime world just like the cosmos.
In the current era of digital technology enhancement, everything might appear as a dream. But the dream world we have been thinking since the beginning of times is just the cornerstone.

Westworld is the “holy grail”.

The door to another dimension. The superlative concept of storytelling through audiovisual. The highway to the brain. The secret passage to the cosmic consciousness.
Where do we go from here? Can not wait to see what’s bringing on to the table, Jonathan Nolan and his wife Lisa Joy for the second season of Westworld.

Black Mirror

Black Mirror TV Series is harsh. It is not intended to be beautiful, although it may feel that way. Its goal is not the happy end, but the fucked one.
This show bought in 2016 by the giant multinational entertainment company, Netflix presented a brand new six episodes third season, considered to be one of the best TV Series of the year.
The plot-line's related to philosophical aspects such as how we have been reshaped by electronic technology, social media and the harsh, devastating consequences that may come just as a cause of it. After all we are at the beginning of a digital epoch. How do we adapt? What changes are ahead for us? Are we prepared to rule over the Artificial Intelligence?
A series of twists (surreal, nightmarish) most likely to those times of Master David Lynch himself.
To what levels do you let your mind go? Is that enough to write about it? Is that good to film it? Do you think people will pay for that? What do you wanna show? What do you want them to know?
Do you think you can handle the story out? Right from the beginning? Well, think again...
Black mirror makes you wonder. Wonder more.
Black mirror is a blend of crucial elements in order to lift off from your mind, your most intense stimulus and feeling. It is unbelievable wise [outrageous].

P.S. White Christmas (Dec. 2014), special episode, is by far the craziest audiovisual trip in a long time. I mean, I see here influences from so many films, TV series, but put those influences all together in one episode is a riddle of not so many.

Lost

When Lost came online back in 2004, TV series were not quite the hit of nowadays. Of course there were many different TV series, but its consumption, its cult was far from what we register nowadays.
Lost in a way changed that. The hysteria, prophetic theories, forums topic related which blowed up online was something new.
The fictional series was pioneer in multi-layered narratives. Mysterious characters revealed in non-linear timelines. A daring, gripping and surreal plot-line, were script was never easy to follow.
Faith, science, reality, illusion, haunting pasts, daring futures, survival...
All this topics combined throughout 118 episodes in a row from 2004 to 2010 is a deed of not so many.
The reason is clear: so many different characters, bonding together revealed in the present, past and future times gets so puzzling that you feel kinda of lost!
J.J. Abrams was one of the show creators. Lost was the show who brought Abrams to the top line in Hollywood. Lost is a pretty good TV show with really good looking actors.
A huge success.
Sit back and get Lost.

Fight Club

Fight club is one of those films that makes you think.
First there was a book. Back in 1996 a novel by Chuck Palahniuk was published.
Fight Club was given life.
In the following years Hollywood industry asked David Fincher to join in and adapt the novel to the widescreen.
In 1999, Fight Club was alive. And its cult began to arise.
Fight club is above all a satire of what we are, what we care, how we deal with each other. Things consume you and not the other way around.
We are consumers. Every single human is a consumer by excellence but how far does it goes? What do we need to be happy? Do we actually give a fuck about what is right or wrong?
What do you really want to for your life? What's your life meaning? Life time goes faster than you can handle.
Do we need more and more electronic products, house decors, fashion clothes, expensive artifacts?

Late in the year, in November there's what they call: the Black Friday.
People get blind with the illusional discounts and fight in the shop for the spare products left. It is a kind of fight club.
How much do we need to fight to feel we are real? To feel our primitive instincts, blood running through our veins, be awake and sharpen our senses which have been so dully, sleepy by the technological and electronic devices which are reshaping our brain functions.
Because in the end, fighting is not really what we have been looking for, or is it?
Fight Club is a masterpiece. From its director, to its outstanding cast, production, conception, you name it.
Fabulous film to watch over and over.
One of my favorites.

Breaking Bad

Here's an interesting fact:
At the Internet Movie Data Base in the top two rated fictional TV Series one is about World War II, the other is about drugs! In other words Breaking Bad.
But be no fool. Methamphetamine is just the bait.
The show goes far beyond that. The super intelligent script, funny and sharp dialogue conducted by an improbable but suspicious duo (Walter White, Jesse Pinkman) carries on the viewer with an outstanding interest throughout 62 episodes.
All the show unveils progressively as new characters are brought in and Mr. White becomes Heisenberg, name given after the German theoretical physicist and one of the key pioneers of quantum mechanics. The man behind Uncertainty Principle.
A show this long I could not drop here the link for a season trailer, just like a movie trailer, thus I chose a long version trailer where we are given an hint about how Breaking Bad turns out to be.
An outstanding TV show. One of the best fictional series in TV history.

Se7en

There are two movies which David Fincher is known worldwide. And Fincher is known worldwide easily because he is a master storyteller.
Two masterpieces hard to compete for pole position, because they are not comparable. Seven is one of those masterpieces. Brad Pitt was given the opportunity to take the lead in both. But shared the leading role with two remarkable iconic hollywood actors. Morgan Freeman is part of the duo in this philosophical, raw and prophetic story.
This fictional story shows no less than the seven deadly sins of humanity. The duo is involved in a game where the only joy belongs to a psychopath.
Now the good thing in how the story is unveiled is the mystery around the serial killer. Kevin Spacey holds this role seriously. So seriously that you need to hold back your tension, your nervous system and grief with Mills when all the puzzle is on the table.
One of my favorite movies.

Amália Rodrigues

When we talk about personalities who live through time, Amália Rodrigues is one of the names we have got to shout out loud.
Fado is a music genre deeply rooted in Portuguese nation / culture. There's no other nation around the world who declares Fado as its nationalist jewel. It is regarded as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Lists.
Amália Rodrigues was widely known as the Queen of Fado.
Back in XX century, Amália carried on her shoulders and on her voice the prestigious of Portugal throughout the world.
Fado origins are related to sea events, the life of the poor and infused with a sentiment of resignation, fatefulness and melancholia. But Fado main influence or property is the word Saudade - the untranslatable word everyone sings about, mostly in Fado.
Amália remains an iconic figure and inspiration to other Fado and popular music artists. As of 1999, she had sold over 30 million records worldwide, easily the best-selling Portuguese artist of all times.

Stigmata

This fictional story raises the question of whether the Roman Catholic Church specifically, has an interest in suppressing knowledge of the Gospel of Thomas. It seems it does.
"The Kingdom of God is inside you and all around you, not in buildings of wood and stone. Split a piece of wood and I am there, lift a stone and you will find me".
This is the core message of this film.
When I first watched Stigmata, long ago, I began to look at the world with different eyes. Not only to religion, but for many other studies which could be worked out to be a beautiful lie. So in a way it gave me interest to find my own truth. To be looking for my path. Not to believe in what I see but feel. To be aware.
To be faithful that "somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known"
How is your faith these days?
"Il messaggero non e importante"

Spotlight

Spotlight is based on a true story. The Boston Globe uncovered the massive scandal of child molestation and cover-up within the local Catholic Archdiocese, shaking the entire Catholic Church to its core.
As I have told in previous posts unfortunately there are many real stories who are not brought public by media. Stories of evil men, enormous scandalous that could shadow giant corporations, groups of million followers.
We live in a world that prevails more and more the image. What our eyes can see. Our reflection to other eyes is given by our beautiful clothes, expensive cars, fake boobs, lips and eyes color. Nowadays what we are is based on what we choose to like on facebook, the best image posted on instagram, the most intellectual thought written on twitter.
So we work restlessly on our own image to show around even though on the inside we are absolute beasts, psychopaths. We do the best we can in order to be even for a minute, in the spotlight.

Primal Fear

This narrative puts together religion, sexual abuse, hypocrisy and extreme violence.
Although Richard Gere delivers one of his finest roles, the attention in this film goes to Edward Norton who got the film's only oscar nomination for best supporting actor in a stunning debut picture.
Primal Fear soundtrack is Canção do Mar performed by Dulce Pontes. This remarkable song was first performed by Amalia Rodrigues in 1955.
Primal Fear looks very plain at first sight. But if you think you've figured out what's the story about before the end, I would recommend for you to wait for the last revelation.
Unfortunately there are many real stories like this fictional here, some are brought public by media, others aren't and the world keeps spinning around its master star.

Room

On my flight back from Asia (september 2016) I had the opportunity to watch Room. "Room is not a film(!!)" it is rather an experience of immersive storytelling for the viewer that no matter what you will be deeply involved, disturbed, compelled to caring for both lives of Jack and Ma (Joy). It will tear your heart apart, but in the end, you will feel so much love for this two characters that your day.. will just feel so much better.
Room is as touching as loving and Brie Larson and little Jacob Tremblay are the very reason why!
There have been, unfortunately, many real stories just like this fictional, which are brought public by mass media. But there are many others no one knows about it.
Man can be a beast, a monster in the real world and so charming when he is in the spotlight.

Patria - Salon Erótico de Barcelona 2016

This controversial, promiscuous & bold promotional audiovisual production has set Spanish Nation in flames! But be no fool.. this description fits many other countries in the Planet Earth as hypocrisy is deeply entrenched in human bones!
We live in a world where money is the superlative power, religion is sacred and life is vulgar. We may regret in a time not far from now, the choices we took in the past.

Saw

When you think you have seen all there is to watch in films, think again, because you may be misunderstanding the incredible psychological twits of Saw.
The sentence: "I want to play a game" was eternalized by a madman, a psychopath and a daredevil character who holds is identity behind a clone mask.
Saw is heavy, daring and raw. Viewer should be waiting to be intentionally aroused by progressive tension, dramatic noises and violent graphic images.

The Game

This film is a game for the viewer because we follow the lead actor through a maze far from the easy way out. May be one of the best roles Michael Douglas has ever delivered and a remarkable underrated work of David Fincher. Game is so well designed and immersive that takes your mind and twists it ruthlessly, contorting it in any way it so desires.
Whether you like to play games or not, this movie won't be a waste of your time.

Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo is our most powerful personality in Portugal. Anywhere in the world, if those people know about Portugal it is because they know about Ronaldo.
The best portuguese football player of all times, was awarded (December 2016) with FIFA Ballon d'Or for the 4th time in his life.
This trophy is the highest individual prize every football player roots for. It awards the best football player in the world. This documentary shows the champ in his intimacies with family and friends, reveals his path, from little boy until the top of the world but shows a very lonely man. In the middle of the crowd he is alone. And alone is how he likes to be mostly of his time.
There are those who say, the most distinguished and bright minds always felt alone, and alone was how they most enjoyed themselves.

Queen - The Show Must Go On

In my opinion this is one of the most intelligent, beautiful and powerful song by Queen. Written mainly by Brian May, one of the best guitar players of all time and co-founder of the band Queen, this song was intended to perpetuate the struggle, the effort of Freddie Mercury, continuing to perform despite approaching the end of his life due to severe complications resulting from HIV/AIDS. Freddie is eternally living in this video, in people memories, in musical disks, in any artifact capable of reproducing his unique voice, for what Freddie was worldwide known. Even today, after 25 years of his death, Freddie is arguably known as the best male singer of all time.
This video shows the beast Freddie was on the stage, the incredible, tender and loving personality he must have been while alive and last but not least, these lyrics are so appropriated for the currently living that once again I must admit, music lives through time.

Metallica - Enter Sandman

Known all around the world, this distinguished rock / heavy metal band still plays for the delight of its followers. More than 25 years separates us from this moment which was forever kept live in Moscow, Russia in the year 1991.
The dimension of this band is well understood throughout this audiovisual capture from real life, real gigs, real rocks festivals. The Monsters of Rock.
When I had the opportunity to see this band live, I felt no different then those in 1991 although we are from different time. Metallica lives in time and there legacy will never be forgotten while rock and metal owns its reign in music culture.

Guns N' Roses - November Rain

November Rain may be the most adorable, remarkable music of Guns N' Roses because it can live through time, but moreover it lives in different music cultures. This power ballad can melt your heart into tears, burn your feelings and set fire onto your body.
I mean the quality of lyrics, instrumental and even the fictional video production are altogether an outstanding feature. This video is over 700M views on youtube something which is hard to get for the nowadays pop stars. It is the most viewed music video on Youtube not made in the 21st century.
June 2nd of 2017, they will be performing in Lisbon in their tour Not in this Lifetime. I have got the ticket to be there and can't wait to see both Axl and Slash together live on the stage. Something I have been dreaming since I was a young little boy.

Beth Gibbons - Show

Beth Gibbons is a woman who sings from her heart. She puts her soul into her music whether it is alone on her show or with Portishead, the band she co-founded.
It is an enormous pleasure hear this voice combined with those musical instruments. Lyrics sets us to a game, a show which many true artists all around have intentionally identified as our life, our moment, our dream.

Madredeus - O Mar

Here's the best of Madredeus. In fact they are still on the road but Teresa Salgueiro, this beautiful, angelical and unique singer has left the band in the end of 2007.
Madredeus was back in the days, one of the most international and praised portuguese bands out of borders. If you listen to this erudite world class music you will understand why.
I believe music has an intense and hidden power of soul healing. A transcendental effect on our minds hard to explain when we recognize the beautiful feeling a limited composition of instruments, vocals, sounds can implement on us.

Her

This Spike Jonze movie is worth watching for many reasons, some of those I would like to identify here. It is a love story but not a conventional one. It's a movie of love, loss, technology, melancholy, tenderness. It is beautiful to watch the intimate / love story between man and an operating system for the most unbelievable it sounds. However this Sci-fi narrative is set into an undetermined future, it feels so realistic that you follow this intimate relationship with interest and joy.
Theodore is a lonely man who gets deeply involved with the world's first artificially intelligent operating system capable of conscientious answers and questions, meeting almost every need this solitary man faces in the world he lives in.

Inception Soundtrack

When we talk about Inception we talk about dreams. We talk about taking a leap of faith!
Christopher Nolan dares the viewer to go deeper into consciousness. To be in permanent question throughout the movie and leave the cinema, with the movie in your mind until it wears off. Just like the chemical effects of a drug.
In the very last shot, Nolan drops the question: Is it a dream or is it the real world?
Philosophical questions are imposed throughout the story, multi-layered plots hidden in a non-linear narrative. The concept of meta-narrative and mise en abyme is equally disturbing when we get lost in a marvelous soundtrack like this one.
If you run through it, you may understand notions, concepts film related and whatnot, useful enough to open your mind in order to allow this soundtrack in your cosmic consciousness.

Chimpanzees React To iPad Magic

Science tells us the closest living relatives we have are chimpanzees.
Here's a funny video which demonstrates the beautiful relationship between humans and chimpanzees. Through technology and illusions this ape is fooled over and over until he gets his final bonus.
It's a really nice video not only because all the magical tricks presented but mostly because this is the kind of relationship we should keep with animals. We are all animals, living beings, earthlings, nature.

The Best Of The Interstellar Soundtrack

The best thing about melody is how it makes us travel through our own mind and reach the most powerful memories we have somewhere lost in our cosmic consciousness.
Hans Zimmer musical compositions are delightful. It is the perfect match to powerful motion pictures and storytelling just like Christopher Nolan puts onto the wide screen.
When the fusion between sound and motion pictures is so outstanding your memory, as a sentient being, records the most intense and provocative moments of the film. Later, not far in the future, by the time you listen to the very same piece of music, those images will reveal to your mind as if you're watching them live.

Ex-Machina

In recent Sci-fi thrillers, dramas [storytelling] human like androids frequently refer to humans as gods. Why? Because humans created them.
Why do we recognize gods? Because for the most of the believers God created man and woman. Humanity.
For robots we, humans, are almighty. What makes us so powerful? Consciousness!
Through consciousness human life is in a constant and superlative evolution. Just like we, in the Cosmos, are in a constant and superlative voyage.
Artificial Intelligence may be more accurate and faster, but it is still very shallow. Human Intelligence is based on consciousness, something still very complex to humans fully understand its power.
Ex-machina is as daring as intelligent. It may be taken as a warning. It may be joyful.
In the end it is just a milestone in this journey where humans embrace androids dearly than our own species.

Hurricane

Listen to Hurricane from Thirty Seconds to Mars.
When I first started my review on the Westworld TV serie, I started with a quote of Edgar Allan Poe poem The Raven, which is inserted in the end of this audiovisual production, directed and produced by Jared Leto under Bartholomew Cubbins name and his crew.
It is signed as a Sysiphus production, an extraordinary and perpetual Greek mythological figure - Sysiphus
This audiovisual production came up online, back in 2010, it is fully connected to the continuous flow - Birth, Life, Death, Re-birth.
About 9 minutes from the start in the song timeline, there’s this voice quoting William Shakespeare, most remarkable work Romeo and Juliet: these violent delights have violent ends (...)
Well, this is one of the main quotes in The Westworld. From the Pilot until the season finale of first season. Why are those quotes referenced throughout the time, the years, the centuries, the millenium?
Now If I put it all together since the beginning of my review to this very last part, all the signs, the coincidences are further than a limited dream.

Inception

This is THE masterpiece of Christopher Nolan.
The help of Hans Zimmer is remarkably signed.
Altogether this movie is absolutely dazzling.
Both Nolan and Zimmer are brightful individuals of cinema industry. Their final production is unique, fascinating and contemplating.
When we talk about cinema I have few I would name as my favorites.
Inception is one of them.

Sigur Ros - Heima

Sigur Ros is a very special music band. Their sounds are magical.
Some say Iceland is a magical place. I am no one to say.
But I believe it by watching from far away. Hear it from so close. I fell it so enormously.
Such a remote place on Earth, cultural breeds from roots to the sky, simply because that's all there is.
I am a deep fan of these music, these people and what they have to offer.
When I got the opportunity to see them live, I made myself sure I wouldn't miss it.
I can neither tell you or feel it right now but I remember It was a rather wonderful night in Porto, Portugal, back in 2016.

Cymatics: Science Vs. Music

The art around the world is farther way than just this blog but meantime take the opportunity to look at this incredible audiovisual explanation of how we connect to the material world.
Nigel Stanford may be the man behind this composition.
What a pleasure is to watch it, hear it and feel it.

The Last Mambabatok

There are no words to express in a fare way the beautifulness of this audiovisual piece.
It goes beyond that nevertheless. You feel it or you don't.
The Legacy Project was something unknown until Bren Foster and his group remarkably found it. They gave a name to it, While I'm Here.
For such there are no enough words. Not enough visuals, memories and moments to be forgotten in a blink of an eye.
So, today, at this very moment it may be possible to watch Kalinga's life. The humble and genuine human beings who lived some moment in the Philippines.
It is extraordinary!

Timescapes - Director’s Commentary

This is a mesmerizing audiovisual composition of shooting, composing and editing.
Tom Lowe goes on an extraordinary journey to let you know about the things he saw on this beautiful planet. The portrait of a single unit is limited to expand such consciousness thus Nature, Cosmos, People, Humanity and Life are all combined in a single excellent film for us to watch and admire.
You have done it, superbly well.
But I cannot left to blame Nigel Stanford on such a beautiful and joyful music composition whose movements fusions on a single element with the visual.
Tom Lowe talks about the zone. A journey rather spiritual than religious.
Be in the zone!

Hacksaw Ridge

Sometimes movies make you dream. Sometimes movies make you smile...
When you just want to cry. Cry for the those lives who had passed away.
Cry for those moments that won't ever happen.
We, humans, are here just for a very small moment of time so we ought to get together. Side by side on this voyage, at the Planet Earth, throughout the Cosmos!

The movie message is really well delivered by the distinguished actor and director Mel Gibson. But the job of Andrew Garfield won't let you down. He puts his best when he gives life to Desmond T. Doss.
This true hero was a real man. With a real life who was at a real war. He was a natural. A natural human being, with a pure heart full of love. He was a believer. His faith, body and mind was all he got to save the life of 75 men in Okinawa.
The truth is they all made a mock of him. His colleagues. They attacked him. His partners of war. They disrespected him. His brothers in arms.
The incredible fact is Mr. Doss went through a really rough, violent path although he never stopped believing. This faith, this energy, this power made him a true hero.
The first man in American history to receive the Medal of Honor without firing a shot.

Burning Man

"It's a feeling! You can't describe it"
Welcome to Burning Man, virtually though.
Here's a well done documentary from Mr. Todd Kortte through the principles of the festival, in 2016.

BURNING MAN: A JOURNEY THROUGH THE PLAYA

What Really Goes Down at Burning Man

Burning Man is known for many as THE festival.
An annual gathering that takes place at Black Rock City, Nevada, USA.
Accordingly to this need to name and categorize things, the prototypical transformational festival is Burning Man. First held in 1986 on Baker Beach in San Francisco, it is nowadays a refuge off nowadays life.
I didn't have a chance yet, to attend this pioneer and unforgettable electronic based festival. I look forward to being there, however.
Festivals of this quality, genre, power, you don't get it through words, photos, motion pictures, whatever you name it. You have got to be there. Live it.
Just as life, no one is going to live it for you.
Here's a beautiful, well done work / report from Ms. Jade de Lavareille of Burning Man 2016.

Jan Blomqvist - Something Says

One of the most promising artists for electro-pop musical genre worldwide.
He, his band have been traveling the world playing in the best underground movement scenes!
Undeniable influences from Booka Shade, veterans of the electronic music scene.
Still young at heart but classic in quality. Bravo!
Here are they at the rooftop.

John Francis: I walk the Earth

Meet John Francis!
The man who didn't speak..
"For the first week, everyone thought it was fun, and I realised I was actually listening for a change. I had always been so used to thinking about what I was going to say next. After a few weeks, people started getting worried." he explains on newspaper.

“I want to take you in one this journey, and the journey i believe is a metaphor for all of our journeys (...) i want you to think about your own journey”
John Francis tells us his own journey.
Back in the days, in 1971.
Wonderful to hear and witness! It makes us believe.
Believe!

Tropical Bleyage - Mala

This is a psychedelic video!
A mixture of motion pictures and animated graphics plus an electronic psychedelic song called Mala (2014) from serbian artist Tropical Bleyage.
I have no idea about the video author or editor, but I have got to say this is overwhelming!
It is philosophical, it is detail oriented, it is fascinating. It is prophetic if you will!
To name some, there's video parts of the following films: Baraka (1992), Samsara (2011), Planet Earth Series (2006) and Apocalypto (2006).
As this is so insightful I would call it art. The art of psychedelic audiovisual.
Here's my analysis:
This video kicks off with a prophecy of the Oracle Girl (Apocalypto) loaded with a cursed path for a civilization. The Maya Civilization. Here are some translated sentences of hers:"A great civilization is not conquered from without until it is destroyed from within." "When the end comes, not everyone is ready to go." as well as "No one can outrun their destiny."
The video mixtures images from Planet Earth: indigenous tribes, indigenous rituals for Gods, flowers blossom and whatnot, intentionally as a metaphor for evolution of species, life out of balance and loads of symbolism derived from geometry [an ancient science known to be crucial for the evolution of Life on the Planet Earth and Cosmos understanding, even some would say, God is geometry!] and DMT, the spirit molecule because users say its voyage is all but geometrics, colors and shapes.
So as water is shown many times, also referring to the Spirit, Mind and Consciousness this video is all but a message saying: we are all connected!
We are but one specie on the Planet Earth. We shall reincarnate until the end of our civilization because quote "A great civilization is not conquered from without until it is destroyed from within".
Bon voyage!

Boom Festival

"First of all, we are all connected. I think the most fundamental thing is we are all connected by an energy field".
Boom Festival is been entitled as a Transformational Festival.
I have no authority nor desire to designate this festival as anything else besides a unique, fascinating and life changing experience.
Some call it the junkie festival.
I would rather name it as The Transcendental Gathering for the new tribes of the XXI century!
There's no one who can accurately describe you what's Boom Festival about! Because it's different for each and every one of us.
Like an experience you gotta live it.
Boom Festival is one of those festivals that you have got to go once in your lifetime.
We are love. We are all. We are one.

Stephen Hawking - Master of the Universe

Stephen Hawking is a human being who has been through serious difficulties hard to understand by those who do not live them.
One of the bravest minds of our times.
My words are but too weak, insignificant to express plus informing about such a wise man, his will to live and the legacy he has left to humanity.
Stephen Hawking will live forever on the history of our Planet Earth or on the records of our unlimited and complex Cosmos, as he would rather love to be appointed to.

MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE

Interstellar

It is one of the science fiction Hollywood movies that I most admire, love and recommend. Why?
First, because it is Christopher Nolan's. One of the best feature film directors of our time.
Second because Interstellar is about Cosmos, our Planet Earth, Human Race and our most precious value - Love.
It is about the time that we have left, the time that ages us and take us somewhere else off the Planet Earth.
Third because Hans Zimmer is the other author, artist who is behind this duo. His work as a composer is something to be admirable, to be listened and to be felt.
It's been long since these two artists coupled together and thank God [if there's any] or the Divine Energy, who brought them together!
"This is no time for caution" - this sentence was engraved on the back side of a watch, Christopher Nolan gave as a present to Hans Zimmer while working on this project. Fascinating, right?!
Yeah, because the same sentence is used in the movie by TARS, the lead actor best adviser.

INTERSTELLAR

The Universe in a Nutshell

Michio Kaku is one of the most distinguished and respected Theoretical Physics of our time.
His intelligence is praised by many who in the world of physics try to find their own path to explain the laws of Universe.
Here is a short but complete explanation of the Universe itself given by the man who is one of the co-authors of string theory aka the theory of everything.
The genius mind of Mr. Kaku has been delivering a wonderful contribution to the human race so we could better understand what's beyond our sight...

THE UNIVERSE IN A NUTSHELL

Cosmos - A Personal Voyage

Carl Sagan, Cosmos: A Personal Voyage goes beyond limits.
There’s no boundaries on his mind and his work on this documentary is fascinating.
This blend with science and prophecy turns this masterpiece as a legacy of not so many.
It is important to mention this academic work was first aired back in 1980.
What an extraordinary mind.
It is one of the most remarkable works throughout history, science and time I have ever seen seen.

Koyaanisqatsi

In the Hopi Language, the word Koyaanisqatsi means "unbalanced life".
This masterpiece goes back to 1982, when two genius worked together.
Fortunately Godfrey Reggio and Ron Fricke where on the same vibration so a new film style was born.
"The film consists primarily of slow motion and time-lapse footage of cities and many natural landscapes across the United States. The visual tone poem contains neither dialogue nor a vocalized narration: its tone is set by the juxtaposition of images and music. Reggio explained the lack of dialogue by stating "it's not for lack of love of the language that these films have no words. It's because, from my point of view, our language is in a state of vast humiliation. It no longer describes the world in which we live."
The film is the first in the Qatsi trilogy of films: it is followed by Powaqqatsi (1988) & Naqoyqatsi (2002). The trilogy depicts different aspects of the relationship between humans, nature, and technology."
The consequences of this creation were Baraka (1992) and in the new millennium Samsara (2011).
I would say these films have a transcendental message hard to find, uneasy to hold...

KOYAANISQATSI

Baraka

I would say this film shows precisely the world we left behind and the world we are walking into.
Baraka (1992) & Samsara (2011) are the two masterpieces of Ron Fricke who heavily cooperated on Qatsi Trilogy.
These two masterpieces place our Mother Earth in two different millennium.
Watching both in a row, is the best way possible to decipher such a visionary outer message.
It's a non-narrative documentary film but its message is extraordinary!
Ron Fricke outstands in a world of millions of filmmakers his will to show the planet where's been living throughout his life.

BARAKA

Samsara

I would say this audiovisual masterpiece is the most accurate portrait of Mother Earth in the new millennium.
The excess - capitalism, over population, technology, artificial intelligence.
The remaining - humanism, beauty of Nature, love...
well have a look at something impressive!
Samsara is a sanskrit word that means "the ever turning wheel of life"
Although Samsara being a piece of art from 2011, nowadays the power of this documentary is still extraordinary!

Visitors

Godfrey Reggio is best known for his Qatsi trilogy - a work of a genius.
A visionary, a philosopher, an artist, a visitor.
He has long left his legacy.
Visitors (2013) is his latest work.

Submissa

In her dreams no one can help her.
A non-linear narrative that intrigues the viewer. It is not clear what we are watching: if it is either the real life of this woman or her dreams, in which she is rendered to submission. The plot reveals a very suspenseful and edgy feel.

As an independent filmmaker, writer and producer I understand the complexity, the hard-work, the challenge to do a film. But I love cinema, writing and creative art.

LESSONS FOR THE NO-BUDGET FEATURE

The Matrix

The power of cinema may go beyond our expectations.
The Matrix is all but a message.
The story is a dichotomy between Humanity & Technology.
It is a challenge between Love & Hate. Peace & War.
A journey through Faith & Fate!
It goes beyond what's real!? How do you define Real?

Here are some of the best quotes:
"If you're talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, what you can taste and see, then real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain. Neo, sooner or later you're going to realize, just as I did, that there's a difference between knowing the path, and walking the path" (...)
“I know you're out there...I can feel you now. I know that you're afraid. You're afraid of us, you're afraid of change...I don't know the future...I didn't come here to tell you how this is going to end, I came here to tell you how this is going to begin. Now, I'm going to hang up

this phone, and I'm going to show these people what you don't want them to see. I'm going to show them a world without you...a world without rules and controls, without borders or boundaries. A world...where anything is possible” The Matrix, 1999
